If you’ve used your carrier’s free spam app (e.g., Verizon Call Filter, T-Mobile Scam Shield):
Some carriers offer international unknown blocking. To undo:
| Misconception | Reality | |---------------|---------| | “I unblocked unknown callers but still don’t get calls.” | You may have enabled separately, or the caller is using a spoofed number that your carrier still flags as spam. | | “Turning off Silence Unknown Callers lets all spam through.” | Not exactly. Carrier-level spam detection still works; only private numbers will ring. | | “I can unblock a specific private number.” | No. Private numbers are anonymized at the network level. You either allow all private numbers or none. |
: Go to Settings > Apps > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers and toggle it Off . When off, calls from any number will ring normally instead of going straight to voicemail.
