As a long-time U.S. Cellular customer still holding onto my LG G3, I recently ran the "Update Database" function (specifically the PRL and Profile updates). Here’s my honest take on the process and results.

Sometimes the "database" being referred to is actually the system software. LG and US Cellular occasionally release patches that improve how the phone interacts with new network bands.
