Caribdis has quietly upgraded his render pipeline. The lighting in the "Winter Palace" hub is photorealistic. The subsurface scattering on character skin—particularly on Luna and Alex—shows pores and micro-expressions that were absent in v0.7. You will find yourself zooming in just to look at fabric textures.
