In the past, DAEMON Tools had a reputation for trying to install browser toolbars or other unrelated software during the setup process. The modern Windows 11 installer is much cleaner. However, you should still read the checkboxes carefully during installation. Uncheck any options regarding "partners" or "additional protection" if you only want the core virtual drive software.
