Whats | An Indian Summer

To be classified as an Indian Summer, the warm spell must occur after the first frost of the season. This typically places the window between late October and mid-November in the Northern Hemisphere. During this time, temperatures rise significantly above the seasonal average, often reaching into the 70s or 80s Fahrenheit. The atmosphere during these stretches is usually calm and still, often accompanied by a distinct smoky or hazy quality in the air.
