No analysis of Ghosts is complete without acknowledging its absurdity. The episode utilizes the supporting cast to great effect, particularly in the exploration of the new "neighbors"—the construction crew. Pat (Jim Howick) continues to be the show’s moral compass, albeit an annoying one, as he attempts to maintain scouting values among the specters. Meanwhile, Julian (Simon Farnaby) provides a cynical counterpoint, his political corruption and sexual innuendo clashing hilariously with the blue-collar workers on site.
In the Season 4 premiere, the residents of Woodstone are in a panic as they realize (Brandon Scott Jones) has gone missing.
