This paper introduces Gracie Excogi — a hybrid concept fusing graceful reception ( gracie ) with exhaustive cognitive generation ( excogi ). While traditional decision-making models emphasize either analytic rigor or intuitive ease, Gracie Excogi proposes that optimal reasoning occurs when one simultaneously suspends judgment (grace) and actively invents novel solutions (excogitation). We outline its theoretical foundations in Stoic euthymia , Deweyan reflective thought, and contemporary dual-process theory, then propose applications in ethical deliberation, design thinking, and conflict resolution.
