Because MoneyPaks are bought with cash and are hard to trace, scammers often target victims by asking them to buy a MoneyPak and read the number over the phone.
MoneyPaks are usually sold on the same rack as gift cards, often near the checkout lanes or the customer service desk. If you cannot find it, ask the clerk specifically for a "MoneyPak" (distinct from a "Green Dot Reload Card" or a prepaid Visa).
