Monsoon Wedding -
In many cultures, rain on a wedding day is considered a sign of fertility and cleansing. It’s seen as the last "tears" the bride will cry, or a "wet knot" that is famously difficult to untie.
The ceremony the next day was moved indoors, into the cramped, damp living room. The paint was peeling in the corner, and the humidity made everyone’s hair frizz uncontlicably. The priest had to shout over the continuing patter of rain on the roof. monsoon wedding
