Always set unknown networks (Wi-Fi/ Ethernet) to Public immediately.

✅ – Both Private and Public profiles. ✅ Don’t disable for gaming – Instead, allow the game’s .exe through Private only. ✅ Use Public profile on all public Wi-Fi – Manually change if needed. ✅ Review allowed apps every few months – Remove old or unused entries. ✅ Block inbound connections by default – This is the default; do not change unless necessary. ✅ Combine with other security – Firewall is not antivirus; keep Defender Antivirus active.
