Getting this card to work on Linux used to require compiling your own kernel modules. Thankfully, the process is now much smoother, though it still requires a wired internet connection (or tethering via USB) to get started.
If you are on a modern distro, you just need to install the proprietary driver package. Open your terminal and run: realtek rtl8821ce 802.11ac pcie adapter

The adapter's MU-MIMO technology helped to improve performance in environments with multiple devices connected to the same network. I noticed fewer dropped connections and less congestion when multiple devices were streaming video or transferring large files. the process is now much smoother
