Marsh was a rock. He absorbed the anxiety of his team. However, he showed vulnerability to his peers (like his wife or the fire chief) to maintain his mental health.

The Yarnell Hill Tragedy On June 30, 2013, the Granite Mountain Hotshots were deployed to combat the Yarnell Hill Fire. A sudden shift in wind trapped 19 of the 20 crew members, resulting in the greatest loss of firefighter lives in the U.S. since the 9/11 attacks.
