With incredible speed and wit, he scares off the bullies without hurting them, then gently heals the bird with a wave of his hand. Meher is astonished but grateful.

Episode 1 of Baalveer does a fantastic job of launching a children’s superhero saga with heart. The special effects (for 2012 Indian TV standards) are ambitious, the pacing is brisk, and the moral core—courage and kindness—shines through. It successfully hooks the audience with the promise of magic, friendship, and epic battles between good and evil.
