We see Jadue, the small-time Chilean soccer executive turned unlikely player on the world stage, struggling with the weight of his decisions. The writers have done an excellent job humanizing a character that could easily be painted as a pure villain. In Episode 5, you can see the cracks in his armor. He is no longer just bumbling his way through meetings; he is now actively participating in a game he knows he might lose.
"Padre Nuestro" is the bridge to the series' endgame. It shifts the tone from the initial thrill of Jadue's rise to the looming threat of "Judgment Day".
