Accessing Indexing Options

Open Indexing Options :

Press Win + S to open the Search box. Type Indexing Options and press Enter.

Modify Indexed Locations :

In the Indexing Options window, click on Modify .

Choose File Locations to Index :

The Indexed Locations window appears. Here, you can see the current locations being indexed. To add or remove locations, click on Show all locations . indexing file location windows 11

Select Locations to Index :

A list of available locations will expand. You can check or uncheck boxes next to folders or drives to include or exclude them from indexing.

Include or Exclude Specific Folders :

After selecting a drive or folder, you can click on Include or Exclude to specify if you want to index the entire drive/folder or exclude certain subfolders.

Confirm Changes :
