Configure your TNSNAMES.ORAThe client is useless if it doesn't know where your database is. After installation, navigate to the \network\admin folder. Create or copy a tnsnames.ora file here to define your connection strings.
Instant Client: The lightweight option. It contains only the essential libraries (OCI, OCCII, and JDBC) needed to run applications. It does not require a formal installation process—just unzip and set your PATH.
