At its heart, Mita’s Playhouse is a meta-parody. It specifically targets the irony of the MiSide community. While MiSide was a critique of obsessive fan behavior and the "waifu" culture that objectifies virtual characters, it ironically spawned a fanbase that did exactly those things to the character Mita.
