Web Series Isaidub !new! Today
The proliferation of Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms has revolutionized content consumption, giving rise to the ‘Golden Age of Web Series.’ Concurrently, a sophisticated underground economy of digital piracy has evolved. This paper examines ‘Isaidub,’ a prominent piracy portal, as a case study for the unauthorized distribution of web series. By analyzing the platform’s technological infrastructure, linguistic accessibility strategies, and the economic implications for the streaming industry, this research argues that piracy portals are no longer mere repositories of stolen content but have transformed into agile, user-centric distribution networks that rival legitimate services in accessibility and reach. The paper explores the socio-economic drivers behind the consumption of pirated web series and proposes a re-evaluation of current anti-piracy frameworks.
