During that night’s live show, Ant & Dec announce the curse is “ready to break.” One volunteer enters the “Trial of Regret” — a small circular stage with 12 trapdoors. Each trapdoor hides a different horror (eels, offal, spiders, etc.). The celebrity must stand still while the curse asks them three personal questions via a voice modulator (e.g., “What lie have you told in camp?”). For each honest answer, two trapdoors open safely. For each lie, the celebrity chooses one trapdoor to open — but it could be empty or full of critters.
