The film is about a CIA officer, Dominika Egorova (Jennifer Lawrence), who is sent to Moscow to take over as the station chief. However, she soon finds herself in a cat-and-mouse game with a Russian agent, Nathaniel Nash (Joel Edgerton), and a mysterious figure known as the Sparrow, who is a skilled and deadly operative.
