Early i30 models often require a simpler sequence using the trip computer buttons on the dashboard or steering wheel. Move the ignition to the "ON" position.
Step one: Turn ignition to ON (do not start engine). Step two: Press and hold the OK button on the steering wheel right side. Step three: Still holding OK, press and hold the START button (or turn key to OFF then back to ON—depending on model). Step four: Watch the display. The service message should blink and reset.
