Kumja Moon — |work|

The origins of Kumja Moon date back to the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392 CE), when the Korean Peninsula was predominantly agrarian. The ninth lunar month coincided with the harvest season, a time of abundance and celebration. According to traditional Korean mythology, the Kumja Moon was associated with the mythical creature, the nine-tailed fox, said to possess extraordinary wisdom and magical powers. This mystical being was believed to roam the countryside during the Kumja Moon, bestowing blessings upon the people and their crops.

Beyond her standalone illustrations, Kumja Moon has made significant strides in the world of graphic literature. Her approach to storytelling is lyrical. Rather than relying on heavy exposition, she uses visual metaphors to convey emotion. Her narratives often drift in a stream-of-consciousness style, inviting the reader to project their own feelings onto the page. kumja moon
