The story follows Dusty Crophopper (voiced by Dane Cook), a small-town crop duster plane who dreams of becoming a firefighter. When a huge forest fire breaks out in the town of Lil' Dipper, Dusty joins the local firefighting team, led by Blade Ranger (voiced by Ed Harris). Alongside his new teammates, including Windlifter (voiced by Teri Hatcher) and Sparky (voiced by Stacy Keach), Dusty must learn to work together and overcome his limitations to save the town.
