A comic strip about the feral rage of stepping on a Lego at 3 AM. A recipe for "Depression Pasta" – butter, noodles, and the tears of your toddler.

A bulk shipment meant for a feminist bookstore in Seattle was accidentally delivered to "Martha's Bible & Hymn Society" in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Martha, a 74-year-old widow with blue-rinsed hair, opened the box expecting a new shipment of inspirational pamphlets. The magazine was founded by celebrated author Michelle Tea , who envisioned a space where parenting narratives could exist outside of mainstream, prescriptive advice. Today, it is led by Editor-in-Chief Meg Lemke, a prominent figure in the comics and literary world who ensures the magazine remains a "judge-free zone" for creative thinkers. Within a year, "Mutha Magazine" had a circulation of 10,000. Within three years, it was a glossy (but still slightly smudged) national publication. Alison never fired Martha; she made her the "Mutha Emeritus," the magazine’s conscience.
