The 1952 edition is significant because it was the first to systematically reorder the De benedictionibus (the section on blessings), which makes up nearly half of the book. This structural change moved previously scattered blessings into a more logical system of tituli (chapters). While the text remained entirely in Latin, this period saw the Holy See increasingly grant permission for local "Collection of Rites" ( Collectio Rituum ) that integrated vernacular languages for certain sacraments to aid pastoral understanding.
