VMware Workstation or VMware ESXi : For creating and managing virtual machines. Ubuntu ISO : For installing Ubuntu on the virtual machine. VMware Converter : For converting the virtual machine into a VMDK image.
Step 1: Install Ubuntu on a Virtual Machine
Create a New Virtual Machine :
Open VMware Workstation and select "Create a New Virtual Machine". Choose the installation media (Ubuntu ISO), and follow the wizard to create the VM.
Install Ubuntu :
