This low-budget horror film attempts to dramatize the real-life crimes of Dennis Rader, the "Bind, Torture, Kill" serial killer. Unfortunately, it fails on almost every level. The acting is wooden, the script feels exploitative rather than insightful, and the direction offers no psychological depth. Gore is minimal, pacing is slow, and the production values resemble a student film. Unlike better true-crime dramas ( Monster , Zodiac ), B.T.K. adds nothing new and feels disrespectful to victims.
