"Gunday" is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Ali Akbar and produced by Kumar Tannu. The movie stars Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.

The story follows two orphans, and Bala , who become refugees during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War. After escaping to Calcutta, they rise from petty coal thieves to become the city's most powerful and celebrated "Gunday" (gangsters). Their unbreakable bond is tested when they both fall for Nandita , a beautiful cabaret dancer, leading to a rift that an undercover law enforcement officer, ACP Satyajeet Sarkar , seeks to exploit.
