Most ZKTeco F18 devices have a physical reset button. This is the most reliable method, but it returns the device to factory default settings.
Many ZKTeco models, including the F18, have a built-in "Super Password" algorithm that changes every minute based on the device's system time.
Older F18 models may not support the tamper switch method; if it fails, the software method is your most reliable alternative.
: Wait approximately 30–40 seconds . Press the Menu button; the device should now allow you to enter the administrative settings without a password.
Pro Tip: Once you regain access, create a "Master Admin" account and write the password down in a secure company register so this doesn't happen again!
