What is Nissan MicroCAT? Nissan MicroCAT is the official electronic parts catalog used by Nissan and Infiniti dealerships worldwide. It allows users to look up parts diagrams, part numbers, and compatibility information for almost every Nissan and Infiniti vehicle manufactured. Note: There are two main versions in use:
MicroCAT (Old Version): A standalone Windows application installed on a hard drive (common in independent shops). It covers vehicles roughly up to 2014–2016. MicroCAT LIVE (New Version): A browser-based, cloud subscription service used for newer vehicles and the latest updates.
Phase 1: Access and Navigation (The Main Screen) When you first open the software (the standalone version), you are greeted by the "Vehicle Identification" screen. This is where you tell the system exactly which car you are working on. There are two ways to find a car: Method A: VIN Decoding (Recommended) nissan microcat epc
Locate the VIN Entry field (usually at the top left). Type or paste the 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Press Enter or click the magnifying glass icon. The system will automatically populate the model code, production date, and engine type. This is the most accurate method to ensure you order the right part.
Method B: Manual Selection If you don't have the VIN, you can select manually:
Model: Choose the model code (e.g., R35 for GT-R, J31 for Teana). Model Year: Select the production year. Grade/Type: Select the trim level or body style (e.g., 4DR Sedan, 2DR Coupe). Engine: Select the engine code (e.g., VQ35DE, HR16DE). Region: Ensure you have the correct market selected (e.g., Europe, USA, Japan, Middle East). Crucial: A US-market part might not fit a GCC-market car. The following hardware configurations are recommended for an
Phase 2: Locating Parts Once the vehicle is identified, you will see a list of "Groups" or "Sections" on the left side of the screen.
Select a Group:
Click on a category relevant to your repair (e.g., Engine , Transmission , Body , Brakes , Suspension ). Clicking the + sign expands the group into sub-groups (e.g., Engine > Cylinder Head). Access the most up-to-date OE
